The Program Developer, Catherine Miree, MA, LPC, has dedicated over 14 years of study in the area of human behavior, based on an interdisciplinary model that looks at interconnection between biology, psychology and social environment and how the aspects of these factors affect overall functionality and development.
She has a Master of Arts in Counseling, and her Bachelor of Science concentration is in Community Development.
Catherine’s vision for the development center was birthed in ‘2008’ and she launched her program and dedicated her time mentoring and working with at-risk youth and women. Additionally, she collaborated with several non-profit organizations to successfully execute portions of her program that positively impacted the lives of many youth & young women.
Over the last 7 years, she has been committed to providing emotional and psychological support to men, women, children and families through her private counseling practice, Higher Heights Counseling Services.
Currently, Higher Heights Development Center aims to positively impact children and families of a larger scale by providing more proactive services and programs within the community that will better benefit those being served and community as a whole.
Catherine has been married for 23 years and has 3 children.
Linda is a recent retiree from the banking and investment arena.
She spent much of her career with Chase Bank,
spending 32 years there in total. She also worked for Advantage One Federal Credit Union as an independent Financial Advisor for four years. Linda wrapped up her banking career with Flagstar Bank. Her duties included helping clients create savings plans to get them to or through retirement, savings on taxes, or growing their assets.
Linda spent 42 years in the industry in total. Helping clients realize the goals in safe ways was a main goal, and with her conservative approach, clients were able to weather the financial crisis of 2008.
Linda’s credentials include: Michigan Insurance License, Life Health, Variable Lines
She also holds Brokerage Licenses Series 6, 63, 65 and 7. She attended Wayne County Community, American Institute of Banking, and NBD Managerial Supervisory College 1995-1997
Linda has been married to her husband, Willie, for 40 years. They have three children and five grandchildren.
Armeace Williams has over 25 years of extensive knowledge and experience in the area of real estate development and property management. She has served as Financial Specialist, Fair Housing Officer, Risk Manager, Director of Operations, Community Site Manager, Lead Real Estate Developer and Vice President of Operations for various Real Estate Property Management and Real Estate Development Firms in the Southeastern Michigan Area.
Mrs. Williams has served as Chief Operating Officer and Board Chairman of Michael Matthew Inc. (MMI), a non-profit housing organization that is committed to eradicating homelessness. Under the direction of Mrs. Williams, Michael Matthew Inc. has sponsored housing for 132 seniors and families. MMI has renovated homes for families and has led the effort in applying for grants to improve and install community parks and trails that eliminate blight and vacant properties resulting in community enhancement with safe, clean equipment and recreational spaces.
Mrs. Williams recently founded Arch Property Management, LLC, MatriArch Development Group, LLC and Communities of Promise, Inc. non-profit organization. These organizations were founded upon the principle of revitalizing our communities while providing affordable housing and social equity programs that fosters social and economic advancements within underserved and underinvested communities.
Mrs. Williams earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Organizational Administration from Central Michigan University and a Masters of Business Administration as well as Masters of Science in Finance from Walsh College of Business.
Mrs. William has been married for 15 years and has 4 children.
